Default Brown Beauty on Bayou

This one was on my first HDR attempts about a month ago. I've posted a before and after.
I think the flowers are too saturated but other than that I like it.

What is it that you would like us to critique? Be sure to ask that specifically

I guess I'm just wondering if it's "too HDR'd" if that makes sense.

If you like how it looks then the answer is no. My personal opinion is if you could come to a hppy medium between the two it would be perfect. Notice the halos around the trees and the edges, thast the part I am not fond of.
What could do is to put the processed image on top of the orginal and then play with the opcaity levels until you found something you liked. That or just erase areas that you wanted to keep orginial

Definitely too HDR for me. The sky looks nice and dramatic but the HDR technique/program you've used has caused some weird color shifting and over saturation (that you've already noted). Look at the gate posts on either side of the driveway with the lights on top. In the original, the lights are similar in color and brightness to the central fountain. But in the HDR version the fountain still looks light grey while the lights have become dark blue. Also, those same gate posts are darker brown topped with lighter brown in the original but are switched in the HDR and are now light on the bottom and dark on the top. Weird.

PS. The horizon looks tilted as well.

That's what stands out first for me. As for the HDR, it's such an 'individual taste' sort of thing. As for my taste, I have to agree with it needing to be toned down some, for the reasons already mentioned.
