Osprey, two different edits

I can't decide which of these will work better for a printed version. There are things I like and dislike about each and every time I look at them I pick a different version. I actually have another version, but these are making the final cut. I suggest clicking them and viewing at the original size as they are much better larger.

I prefer number one, i like the color and detail in his head and his feathers.

I prefer the first image as well; the contrast is a little stronger. The second image almost looks hazy to me.
