hi everyone... well i just got back from my trip to lackland airforce base where my little brother did his airforce basic training. i took a few pics of him. but this one really caught my eye. i immediately thought that it would look good if it had an old vintage/antique feel to it. i do plan to print this photo so any suggestions and or comments are welcome..
first off this photo was more of a candid shot and was not planned at all. but here it is. before: ![]() after: ![]() exif: shutterspeed: 1/320 aperture: f/4 iso:400 taken in aperture priority. slight adjustments were made in LR2 might have been slighty over exposed due to the higher iso... let me know what u guys think...

As a former graduate from Lackland AFB the correct term is Airman's Portrait. Soldiers are in the Army.
I think the B/W portrait is nicer because the shadows on the face are eliminated however the jacket is very dark. If you could lighten that up it would be a better shot in my opinion. |

haha yes you are correct.. it would he would be an Airman... but me being in the army i guess its just an old habit to call him a soldier... lol even though im a "paratrooper" at heart.
i do agree with you abou the jacket being a too dark.. i will definately try and lighten that up...

My vote is for B&W - I blends the harsh light on his chin better. Ditto on the Jacket. The vignette adds a nice touch. Thanks for sharing.
