Wink bw or colored?

hi!
this is a shot of droplets on a taro leaf. These leaves have always fascinated me since i was a child because they don't absorb water/liquid easily.
I actually cropped the photo already just to give some focus to the droplets and it looked more clean after.
but which is better, the bw or the colored?

THANKS!

I'd go with color Its pretty and its easier to tell its a leaf...the black and white makes me wonder...um what is that lol.

For this kind of subject I prefer B&W.

Your B&W requires futher PP - did you just desaturate the colour version - it lacks punch. I use LR2 & it has a good number of monochrome presets that I scroll thro' find which one suits the particular shot.

thanks AgBeard and JennyQuinn...hahaha...both of you reflect my dilemma, i simply can't choose which one! =s
i love the color of the leaves, it's so vibrant while bw seems dramatic...

@ agbeard:
i am a total amateur i don't even know what do you mean by PP or LR2...
may someone please enlighten the newbie?

thanks so much!

I'd go for the colour version of this particular image, even though the water droplets do stand out better in the b&w version.

PP is Post Production - work done on the image using computer software such as Photoshop Elements, Photoshop, Gimp or Lightroom

LR2 is Lightroom Version 2 - Adobe's 'Digital Darkroom' that allows you to make overall & some localized changes to the image - it's aimed specifically at photographers to enable them to manage their work flow & catalog their photos.
