Default Color or Grayscale

Hi, I took this picture the other day at the Atlanta Zoo. Can i get some advice on whether it looks better in grayscale or color? thanks

I prefer the B&W but I think the crop is a little tight...I would have liked to see his whole ear....Paul

I like the B&W. I focused on the texture of his wrinkly skin right away.

thanks for the advice and compliments! im leaning more towards the B&W at this point, i think it brings out the texture more.

I am partial to B&W photography so I will go with number two.

I tend to prefer colour over b&w but here I think the b&w brings out the texture and the details much better! But lovely photo of a noble creature either way.
