Default Composition...Hmmmm which one??

Hi All,

I was wondering which composition works well for such photo? I kinda like both of them... Just need a second opinion.

For me, the second image looks like two images butted up against each other. The first image is a little stronger to me...but I kinda wish it was shot in landscape orientation with less empty space above his head.

I like the version you just posted with the landscape orientation, although the stool is a little tight to the right edge of the photo.

I think it is interesting that there is one person sitting on the porch with so many empty chairs and the stool.

I agree with plangereis, but I am curious what the image would look like with the Chairs on the left and the stool on the right. I think this would also enable you to keep the entire door in the photo which I really like in the portrait shot.

Thanks but wouldn't that clutter the picture? I mean chairs, stool, man... Too many details don't you think?
