Default Which Looks Better to you?

I'm trying to learn how to properly use Aperture settings. These photos are of f/2.8 and f/22. The 1st photo is at f/2.8 with no flash and the 2nd is at f/22 with the flash. The 3rd photo is at f/1.8 with no flash and the 4th is at f/22 with the flash. Let me know your opinions.

I agree. The flash flattens the image too much, and is simply not flattering to the colours of your subjects.

Aspencade/TheKingInYellow thanks for the comments. I'm new at this and in my mind the dark color created by the flash was nice, but realistically the one's without the flash are better. I didn't think about how the flash flatten out the image. Thanks again.

I think that any aperture that gives you more DOF is a winner that and post processing

Without flash. The flash makes them look squashed.
