Default Daisy Daisy, Give me the skies so blue...

Same subject... different composition.

Which works best?

Any other comments / suggestions for improvement appreciated. Thanks

Overall i like the colors and exposures of both photos. Great angles also! Personally I favor the first one.The bottom picture would be better if the bottom daisy had been alive.

Much prefer the first one - colours are great and I like the angle. The dead daisy is very distracting in the second shot - it draws my attention more than the live flowers.

I like the first one also. I think it would improve if there were more clear blue sky. Like if you removed two of the brown things.

The crispness, colors and lighting are phenomenal! Love these shots! I really enjoy the angle of the first one.

Great light and colours on both. But I'm going to go against the crowd and say that I prefer the second one. I like the second one because it doesn't seem as busy to me and because I actually like the contrast between the live and dead flower. I just think that the flowers stand out more in the second.

Thanks everyone, your thoughts are much appreciated.

I like contrasting views, it gives me something to think about! I was pleased with both for different reasons, and I'm glad that someone liked the contrast between the living flower in the spotlight, and the dead one in the shadow.

I probably will play around with photoshop at some point, but these (and two others with a butterfly on) were my first out of the camera shots that I was actually pleased with. Usually I have to tweak something, be it a quick crop or a major RAW rescue package. So I was interested to see if anyone liked my photos just as they were.

I was pretty lucky that the lighting was so lovely that day. It makes a change from white blank skies!

Cheers guys. If anyone else has an opinion, I'd love to hear it.
