The second set is quite dark, I know thats the look your going for but in terms of light I think it needs more!
If you want to perfect these photos can I suggest you use fake blood!!? http://halloween.newarchaeology.com/...od_recipes.php I know some people put blood and sweat into their photography but this is taking it a bit far!! ^^ |

I thought of using fake blood at first then I thought about the amount of effort it would take to avoid a little wound that diabetics inflict on themselves every day to test their blood sugar. It didn't hurt and it is very "realistic" looking. It might be that I prefer to be lazy with a little hint of pain, than to be without pain and do some work. Haha.
I can see increasing the light especially on the second picture. I might brighten it up and repost it. Thanks for the critique. ~Gonzo13 |

Thanks Shorty. I tried to do it again after I had the tripod set up so I could get more DOF but the pattern of blood on the blade just didn't look great for a close up.
