Correcting the white balance alone makes everything behind the subject way too blue and distracting, so I multiplied the layer and gaussianed blurred around the subject to mask her out. I think the color definitely looks better w/ the corrected WB, but I'd like to know if the vignette around her works, and if there's anything else you would change?
The spotlight cuts her off at the knees, so her right leg especially, looks a little purple. Is it distracting? ![]() original processing ![]() Thanks again for your suggestions. This definitely makes a difference to my eyes. Is closer to what I saw on stage. |

Much better. The leg does look a little odd but it will take a lot more time to correct shortfalls on the part of the spotlight operator. This result definitely pops compared to the original processing.

I'm thinking I might just leave the legs in the shadows of the multiplied layer instead of trying to bring them out, given the discoloration. I don't think my PS skills (or my free time) are up to the task of trying to manually correct that!
