I think the second works better - the first looks less dynamic and is also more unbalanced because your cousin has both legs (obscured) on the far side of the spring seat.

Second one definitely, the expression looks more natural.
If you want to edit them, try to eliminate or blur the multicolored slide behind the head.

if you want innocence, the first one, if you want dramatic, teen years, definately the second one.
the only thing I would do is just as Subrata suggested and blur the back a little. The sharpness of the multi colors draws away from her, blurring it would stop that.

Second, up and running!
![]() If you have the nikon's capture NX (Control Points) or Adobe's lightroom (adjustement brush), you could add a bit of light in your cousin's shadow. (If not the picture is also fine the way it is. LOL!) |

I'm going to go for the second one:
- seems more "candid" (or natural, as people have already put it—actually, it seems more natural since she also has her legs properly placed, like Wulf said) - no shining spot on her forehead The bright colors in the back are... bright, but they seem OK to me. You could blur them and put the blurred and non-blurred versions back into "Critique My Shot." ![]() Great work! I love the portrait! (And the colors!) |
