Both work well apart from 1 thing. The new car just behind it. Its ok, just, in the first picture but the second is spoiled by it as the feel of the colours is an old worldly feel and then there is a modern vehicle in it.
The newer vehicle aside what id try is fully black and white but make the street car stand out more by adjusting the levels. Its such a shame the new car is in the shot. |

Thank you for the reply. I'm sorry for the reply delay. I'm working only with GIMP and little knowledge of editing, so I created new selective coloring style layers to darken that bright white car and create the layers for the background (which took many hours, the reason this reply was so delayed). How does this new edit look? Any other opinions on the original pictures by anyone else? Does the shadowed white car work?
Any and all opinions are appreciated. Thanks

Personally, I love the muted tone of the second one but if the entire photo were done as opposed to just the trolley. I think adding a vignette would be the wow factor on either of them.

The modern cars really detract from the old feel of the conversions... My suggestion? Get rid of 'em. This is a quickie. It could be made perfect in about 30 mins. If you want me to pull it off DPS, just say the word. Sepia would look great as well...

The main issue with the shot for me isn't the PP but the lighting. Having the side of the tram in shadow with very bright shadow on the front creates a huge contrast in an unwelcome place. By shooting in a different place or at a different time of day could you get the whole car in the light? This would remove the need for selective colouring as the lighting would create the subject definition you are after.
