Playing with colour in a sunrise shot

Hello,

Here is a photo I took this morning at Currumbin Beach, Australia.

When I was editing my photos I amped up the brightness and shadow and got an interesting effect. Personally, super edited photos aren't my thing but I quite like the second one. I'd like to know what other people think please!

I like the skyline and ocean of the edited one, and the wave, possibly lightened a little, of the first one. Or just darken the wave a liite in the edited one.
