Default Square vs Panoroma

I like both images but I am not sure which really works with this abstract image. So I'll ask which you all think works better here. Does the Square format or Pamoroma format work better?

Square

Frozzen in Time-03c

vs Pamoroma?

Frozzen in Time-04c

Thank you comments

I like the additional textures and tones that are present in the square crop. That difference between the light background and dark foreground pulls my view through the image more.

The panoramic is a bit too even front to back, right to left to have the same level of interest, IMO.

Thanks IABoomer

I agree. Maybe I'll play with the panoramic and see what I come up with.
