Seeing as the bright highlights in the water really seperate the Heron from the rest of the scene in the original shot, I am not sure if the vignette helps or hinders the standing out of the subject in this case. Although the vignette is subtle I prefer it without ... pops more for me. I think the crop is good -- I like the feathers on his head and the vegetation squiggles in the water ... works for me!

I had to really look to see the vignette, but I also agree, without just pops a bit more
