Default With or without vignette?

With or without the vignette? Seeing as the bright highlights in the water really seperate the Heron from the rest of the scene in the original shot, I am not sure if the vignette helps or hinders the standing out of the subject in this case. Also, the image is slightly cropped. How does the crop work in the composition?

Although the vignette is subtle I prefer it without ... pops more for me. I think the crop is good -- I like the feathers on his head and the vegetation squiggles in the water ... works for me!

Thanks for the thoughts! I think I'm also leaning more towards the vignette does not do it justice

I had to really look to see the vignette, but I also agree, without just pops a bit more

Thanks Liz! That is more confirmation that the shot works better without it. Even though I am liking it more and more without the vignette, at least I know I am pretty good at adding one to a photo without making it noticable Not too sure what Crockny's "what the hell" means, but I thank anyone for input

I guess the mods removed the sex toy spam from Collin2 or whatever the name was ... that's what I was responding to -- did no one else see that but me??? Weird ...

Lol, I can't say I recall any vibrators popping up on my wildlife photo thread, but if they did I guess that would warrant the "what the hell" lol
