Hello everyone, I would really like your opinion on these. They are both the same photo, the second one is just cropped in more. I need an expert opinion on this, so I'm asking you!
I would really like to know which one you think is better, the first one or the second one. And if you see anything else that could use some work, feel free to let me know. The full picture: ![]() Or the cropped one: ![]() Thanks so much for you opinions!

I chose the second one.. It's great to isolate the object, it will give more emotion..

Ok, I'll keep that in mind for any portraits that I take. Thanks for your opinion on this, I really appreciate it.

I like the second one much better. Can you even out or turn down just a little the bright spot on the bricks to the left of the rose?

I'd like to do that, but I have no clue how I would. What would you have to do to get rid of that bright spot?

I have to disagree and say the first one. I usually prefer a horizontal crop when people aren't looking directly at the camera. I think it's composition is better and it fits the rule-of-thirds much better.

Thank you! The second one seems to be what most people decide on, but the first one is good, too. Like meganhurtphotography said, the second one fits the rule of thirds better. Since people are disagreeing on which one is the better one, they must both be good! Thanks everyone, for your input.
