Default Do they get lost in the background?

I really dig the B/W shot but I'm afraid they don't stand out from the background enough. With that in mind, if you were me which one would you keep?

I think they stand out more in the black and white version - none of that bold colour to pull the eye away. You could also try dulling the background further or how about cropping in closer?

Definitely the B&W one. As Wulf pointed, there isn't much to distract your eyes from the subject in the former one.

Overall this is a priceless shot but I am leaning toward the black and white version for the same reasons as already stated.

Frankly, I don't think anything could distract the viewer from this subject. What a fabulous shot! I love the color one--it communicates more of the physical and emotional warmth of the image. But the b & w one is striking in its own way. You could try darkening the background a bit to make the subjects stand out more. I don't see a need to crop in closer.
