Default Raven in canyon #1 or #2?

I was all set to really like my first pass at this shot, the color version and the one that captures more of the canyon, but now I have tried it in b/w and with a closer crop. I like both versions, for different reasons, but I wondered if anyone on the forum would have any consensus on which one has more immediate "pop" and resonates more.

Thanks for any comments!

I like both of these. The closer crop stands out composition wise but the color one really pops and draws you to it. I would say the closer crop in color would do it for me. Great shot!

Second one. For me, the darker clouds in the top on #1 just seem out of place. In the B&W, the bird is no longer centered and lends itself to a better feeling of movement. Both are great shots, but the second one would be my choice.
