I prefer the bench. It's classy and unobtrusive. The cube is the first thing my eyes go to, and get stuck there.
I like the the placement of the eggs around the bench too. There may be too many, but I would swap the placement of the small yellow one in front, with the medium sized yellow one. |

Thanks! I definitely think that the bench is a better choice after looking at them side by side. I need to find someone handy dandy to make me some wooden cubes, cause this fabric one just is not cutting it. It looks icky.
What do you think (in using the bench which is open on the bottom) about putting some of the bigger eggs actually under and behind the bench, with just some of the smaller ones in front? I swear, I think that I am my own worst critic sometimes and that I over analyze everything. The kid belongs to one of my friends. When I showed her the photos she thought that they were awesome. But me....not so much. |

I like the bench as well, however on my monitor I can't see the legs so it looks like she's sitting on a magic carpet...could be my laptop monitor tho... The eggs are a cool touch!

Looks the same on mine. I like the bench, maybe a little more lighting on the legs to prevent the floating effect.

I for sure love the cube more!

I know you didn't ask this question, but why not a white or other light color background? Black seems very un-easter to me. And yes the bench makes it look like she is floating. I actually like the overall composition of the one with the cube better. It might be helpful if she were doing the same pose in both too as the pose in the bench one seems unnatural to me.

Love the eggs! I think they're a really cute idea. I do prefer the cube over the bench. The feeling of the cube and the eggs seems to match a little better to me, more of an "easter-y" feeling. The bench is classy, and the eggs are cutesy, and to me, it feels like they're competing.
I also agree with Physibeth, and would love to see a brighter background. |

I prefer the lighting and pose in the first shot. The cube lends some softness and light.
The second shot needs more detail to bring out all of the bench. A lighter background maybe, but I would try using more of the eggs. Some small and medium under and around the bench would work I think. |

I like the black. The eggs are very bright in themselves. The cube is too "there" for me, maybe an earth tone fabric would mute it just a little and be okay. On my iPad the bench legs are just barely there, slightly more light would help, but I still prefer the bench over the cube.
