Default Which Super Moon?

I have tried two different things from the supermoon last weekend.

One is the edits suggested by Mel in this thread: March 19, 2011 Super Full Moon

Supermoon 1

Two is a stack of a dozen that I shot on Saturday:

Supermoon 2

I was wondering which people prefer. BTW, my wife's vote is for number 1.

Other critique besides the option of 1 vs 2 are welcome.

Hiya Scott!

Must agree with the boss, I like the first one, tho really the only differenc ei see is the CA? is a bit more pronounced in the second shot...They are both good shots however

Thanks guys...

For the stacking, I had about a dozen pictures of the moon that were Ok, different exposures some with details better in different areas. I am sure there are more ways to do it than this, but I brought them into photoshop as layers, hit >edit>autoalign. Now they are all lined up as them moon moves over the course of a few images. Then it was just regular curves and sharpening from there

I like two because the lower left of the moon is not a sharp line and so the moon melts into the background. But I'm no body special.

number one because it appears sharper although #2 looks like it has a bit more tonal range - i'd pick sharper.
