Default Winter colors

At last one day with sunhine, over a long time!
Had some hours in the park with small waterfalls (actually big falls for Estonia, considering our relatively flat landscape). I really was wondering, what my new mirror lens could do. The next thing I buy is a tripod, handheld the hand quiver affects focusing too much.

Now I face the same composition questions as always, which one to choose.

I like the composition of the first one more but the alder branch on the other one seems sharper. Cropping would help?

Suggestions?

Hi,

I like the first one, mainly because of the composition.

I agree that the second is sharper but that isn't making so much of a difference that it makes me like it better.

It's a nice shot , it's something that would look good as an artistic print on a wall IMO.

Cheers,
M
