Default PSE trial

I'm just starting to experiment with PSE and processing of my photos and really not sure what to do with them or how. I've been watching plenty of videos thanks to the links found on DPS.

Below is the original photo. This was taken int he Delaware Water Gap, NJ in October 30th just about 1pm. The original just seems blah color wise, maybe too light, to me.

Any and all comments are welcome.

Here is the processed image

It’s a very nice capture with great potential. Your PS processing is good too, but perhaps a little timid for my personal taste. Here are three other possibilities to consider:

A Lightroom “pop” by mostly increasing luminance and saturation going down the Develop module.

The other processed in Topaz Vibrant:

As a painter, I thought this would be a particularly good subject for a painting, in this case “smudge” painting in PS or watercolour:

All excellent examples. I would agree that I am timid and think it's too much b ut they look great. Thanks for the insight.
