Default Giant Pronghorn

I saw this monstrous pronghorn in a herd of about 50 on a trip to the VLA a few weeks ago. I snapped a few pictures of him and his herd, but I wasn't satisfied with the raw picture. So I played with the tone curve and the luminance, and cropped it down. What do you guys think of the crop and color adjustments?

I've included both the crop and the original for comparison.

Thanks!

Cropped one is fine for me, but I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of background as well. Like, keeping the animal on the lower left third so the mountains show as well. Give it a try.

What about the colors? Did I overdo it?

Here's a slightly modified crop. I kept all the color settings the same (so EASY in Lightroom), but I changed the crop to put the buck's eye on one of the "Fibonacci Power-Points," because I read an article about doing that instead of the Rule of Thirds. Thought I'd see what you guys think. Personally, I think it's a little stronger image, but that's my opinion. What do you guys think, especially compared to the first crop?

EXIF is the same as the OP.

Yup, that's the one I love.
And colors seem quite fine to me.

Thanks guys. The only thing I could've wished for was a little longer lens. I'd like to have gotten closer, but the wind was WAY wrong to try to sneak up on him.
