Default HDR vs HDR with Post Processing

I'm just curious to see what everyones thoughts are with these two photos.

The HDR panoramic photo itself

Sant Feliu de Guixols

And after some post processing and adding a frame

Sant Feliu de Guixols post processed

The post processing gives it a real artsy and more sinister look but it starts to look more like an oil painting and less like a photo. It does however make the details more clearer. I guess I like both but each in a different way.

Something else that I just noticed is that on the post processed photo, I forgot to crop out the extra Sea that I decided to get rid out of the normal HDR shot. Please overlook that as I can crop it out in the future as I meant it to be a comparison with post processing technique and not crop.

i think you should also try to straighten the horizon. it is tilting to the left.

Hi Edbayani,

I never noticed that before but you are right, I will correct that, thanks for spotting that out.

I like it with processing.

The coast looks almost like a charcoaled steak.

Interesting observation Photologyst, I think tonight I might try a 3rd one in which I will try to combine the two sky's together but keep the post processed look of the coastline and buildings and also straighten out the horizon.
