Default Darker or lighter

Hullo,

just wondering which is better the dark or the light? Any other comments welcome.

I prefer the darker. The ligher washes out the yellow thread in the back, while the darker gives it a lot more of an apocolyptic / dark feel.

How about using a curve to take advantage of the best of both images?

I only see the darker one. Did you take down the lighter one?
