Default how would you crop this shot?

i was reading a really interesting book (the photographer's eye) about composition. i've already been trying to be aware of how i compose, crop, etc. but now i'm curious as to how others see the same thing. that being said, here's my before and after.

overall i'm pretty happy with the final cropping (i obviously did some post work too) ... even though the ball is to the left it feels "balanced" ... at least to me?

all comments and advice welcome and appreciated!

the crop is nice... i think i would have done just a bit more to get rid of the ledge on the bottom left corner... to me, it can be just a tad distracting...

I actually like the crop you have. Even the off center, it gives it a magazine advertising tone. However I would have also tried (just to see) to get equal amounts of the top seam in the ball, in balance with the same amount of the bottom seam…if that makes sense.

Kinda like this below (please excuse the colour correction. I used the laptop and it doesn’t seem to be as true as when I edit on the desk top)

The bottom one might look a little better if you made the dark part of the background a little darker just to the right of the ball so the ball "pops" more.
