Default My friend's portraits - my first attempt. Critics welcome

Hi to all,
my colleague and friend asked me to make her some shots for her CV, unfortunately there wasn't much light (it was veery cloudy) and the white walls of my sitting-room, where we took the photos, seem greyish... anyway, here below I'm posting 3 variants of the same shots with different PP: in the first on, the original one, I've only changed a bit the WB (instead of rocorded value I changed it to Daylight - cloudy) and that's all. in the second two pics I applied the following effects: to the first one I applied an effect called "glamour glow", and to the second one - the sunshine effect.
should I have left the "original" pic as it was? are the two pics with the "special effects" better? any critics are welcome. thanks in advance!!

These are very nice. She has a lovely face, perhaps another angle with chin tilted up instead of down?

For a CV these might be a tad too sexy and “glamorous” unless she is going into the fashion or art business?

There is a shadow at the head on the top right as well as a “stripe” of a door frame(?) and one can see a tad of the furniture.

Photologyst, first of all, thank you for replying! actually my friend would like to go into the fashion business!! the stripe you see on the right side of the photo is a piece of a picture-frame, i wanted to cut it off but then I thought I would cut her hair too much... but may be it's better to cut off some hair instead of seeing that distracting stripe?

Looks very nice. I like the angle of the head. You could experiment with another background. If she wants "glamour" shots then you need to do a bit more.

Check out this portrait program: Imagenomic Gallery

The portrait pros will no doubt weigh in soon.

Use the clone tool to remove the distracting edge of the frame on the right.
