Default Color composition

Sony DSLR A 200
ISO 100
F /16
Exp. 1/160
Image 1 as taken
Image 2 enhanced

I am experimenting with my settings to get the most color composition.
How can I improve picture 1 by using other camera settings to get more the color composition of picture 1. I am new with digital photography and can handle any critique.
Thanks.

Your processing helped a lot, but the image looks a little shaky or blury, it also looks a tiny bit dark to me, I would suggest using a tripod with image stabilization off (if you weren't) or a faster shutter speed, and open up you aperture a little more. I hope that helped!

PS: I'm also pretty new so I may not have been a huge help.
