Well, to my very untrained amature eye. I think they are both a little dark but I like the natural colored one better and I think with a little bit of lightening and some saturation (or layers or what ever will make the colors pop) it will be a great photo. I'm sure someone who knows what they are talking about will chime in sooner or later though.

The 2 pictures are of totally different in color tones and temperature, which brings a whole different feel and mood to the pic. Well done for the transformation.
Personally, IMO, preserving some originality in the pictures is what i would prefer to do, try my best to keep as much natural colors as possible as that's the reason why in the first place we wanted to take the pic anyway. The sky for example could have a hint of blue and oranges together, as well as the color of the river and the boat where the brown wooden color can be preserved. Anyway, this is just an oppinion from me. The color tones that you did do looks realistic and natural, just that it's up to personal taste on how we want to present the pictures. |

Thanks Wal for explaining that to me. I agree about your point regarding trying to keep the natural colors of the pic because thats pretty much why we chose to click the picture in the first place. I was tempted to try out the processing though and am glad that it looks realistic. Thanks again!
