Default Desaturation and Wedding collections

I'm working on editing some wedding photos and I'm curious about which you would choose to put in an album.
I'm going to give the couple a CD with all of their photos in color, most in b&w, and some that are desaturated (I guess that is the right term?) so in the end, they can choose which option they like. However, I am making an album and I'm wondering if I should be consistent in the colors through the album (i.e. all full color, all b&w, or all desaturated)
I obviously wouldn't put two versions of the same shot in the album but should I stay consistent or would it look odd to mix it up?

Here's what I mean by full color vs. desaturated.

no idea why I can't get them the same size on photobucket...

Yeah, that's kind of the problem. The desaturated ones usually look good on their own but when they are next to the color version, they look, well...anemic. Some photographers that I follow tend to have a more vintage/romantic look that I know is mostly awesome lighting and some sort of pp. I like them all as a set but I'm sure they would look odd with a color right next to it.

yeah, i see what you're saying.

they need to be consitant..

I only ever do full vibrant colour, or straight black and white.
thats my style, and thats what i want people to want me for.. because it comes naturally to me.

stick to your style, and dont worry about other photographers.

The reason I mentioned the other photographers is because I really like what they do. Eventually I'll get there. I guess I can't force the techniques...I try and it doesn't work until one day it'll click and I can't believe why it was so hard for me to figure out. Like this wedding for instance, I was in the middle of the reception and suddenly the whole exposure triangle made sense...love it when that finally happens!
I think consistency is probably best too - thank you for your opinion!

I would go with the full color version over the desaturared, I think thats what most people prefer. In the album though I would have a section of B&W because of the dramatic effect they can produce.

I agree most people prefer color or B&W... I use desaturation sometimes & I like the effect of it... I almost wonder how it would be if you desturated it even more... so it's ALMOST B&W but still a pastel hint of color, and then add a touch of warmth.

I know exactly the look you're referring to, and it's very nice. I think a lot of those are PP... like an action in photoshop (I don't use PS so I don't know).
