I agree that both versions could use a dose of contrast. I think the black and white sets the mood for the photograph, in my mind at least. It just needs some more polish. Nice work!

If the sky was a little more interesting (clouds, sunset etc.) I think I would like the color, with more contrast, over the BW. That's the nice thing about digital you can keep them both and play with the settings til its just what you want.

Agreed with the previous comments, that you could make the pictures have more contrast. I think B&W, with the right adjustments, could look great (IMHO it catches extra attention fron the viewer because it is an old-modern contraposition: you would expect a WWII plane to appear B&W, but not a modern fighter jet!). The colour version is also nice, but right now with current settings it looks to me like a stock or press photo without 'pop'.

PS. It is a T38 Talon, isn't it?
