I took this picture of my niece during a photoshoot a couple of months ago. I liked the way the wave was crashing in the background, so I decided to artificially extend the background by cloning some elements of the wave. By doing this, her possition on the photo was changed to the far right instead of the center of the image.
What do you think of the results? Is it too disproportionate or it actually helped the photo? Original picture out of the camera ![]() Final results

The colors in the processed image work really well. But the cloning is kinda obvious and the waves on the left side look fake.
I'd try cropping it to a square (or close to square) which would make her fill pretty much the whole frame. Although that would make her appear in the lines of them thirds. So I guess my answer to the question would be that this time breaking the rules didn't work well. But the colors are still great!

Pretty good, congratulations. Your work is very good specially with the lighting althoug the clone wave is kind of obvious, try to transforme the clone area make it larger so you wont need to clone it three times... but everything else is an A. It´s a good photo for print dont leave it in digital.

I really like the effect and how the overall look. The wave could be changed but that's small potatoes.
I love the way the color turned out in that photo.
