I choose the color one. But it's close.
First, let me tell you this is an amazing shot.. by looking at my site you'll see I like a more natural portrait over a cheesey smiley one, so this really connects with me. Such a mature face... love it. Ok enough praise! ![]() I think the main reason I pick it is because we see a lot of similar b&w with the high-key skin and there's something so soft and beautiful in the color one. Her skin fits in so well with the soft green background. Everything about it says warmth, summer, earth, etc etc.. Though, I must ask, is it possible to boost the contrast in the color one? Feels just a tad soft... may not work, but I'd try it. *Edit* maybe using "clarity" in LR if you use LR? Definitely the color...

This is a tough one , Susan. I think I prefer the color version. I like the tones of Victoria's skin and her gorgeous blond hair against the green in the background. She seems to stand out just a little bit more than in the B&W version.

I like the bw one but only because the side of her face is green from a color cast
~ . I read a tutorial on how to fix that easily...let me know if you want me to send you the link. I use it everytime!

Normally i would have gone for the Mono conversion, in this case i would have to settle for the colour. The subject is great and i really like how you've captured the hair blowing. It is a very nice natural shot, not contrived at all. However i must say that i do agree with Bigfuzzy, there needs to be more contrast in the colour shot. The reason i prefer the colour to the Mono conversion is because in the colour shot there is a large patch of golden light that works but in the Mon conversion that patch of golden light head has turned intoa large patch of white light that is distracting from the rest of the image and her dress is overexposed
