Default leaf or no leaf?

Hi! I took this at a recent prom shoot. The leaf above his head bugs me, so I took it out, but now the head looks a little funny to me. LOL Can you guys tell me which you prefer please!

Thanks!

Would not have noticed it without it being pointed out. But since you pointed it out - the one without.

Thanks! I didn't notice it until I was editing at 100%... wasn't sure if it was just my untrained eye over looking it, or if it really wasn't noticeable.

I don't think I would have noticed either until you pointed it out, but I like it without. Nice photo!

I prefer the one without it. The leaf is a bit too close and a bit too bright and looks like it perfectly surrounds the head. Maybe you could have just darkened it.

definitely couldn't see it, but then the 1st photo is the one without so maybe i assumed it was the 'with' shot (too "forum trained"!)

And def without. It's one of those things that really bug you once you notice it.

I'm in the same boat with everyone else, probably wouldn't have noticed it til it was pointed out and then my eye kept going there.
