I was taking a few shots with my Rebel T1 and the standard kit lens 18-55mm IS lens.
When i was having the lens in MF (Manual Focus) and in the M manual mode of the camera my photos were out of focus and the subject was blur, i tried changins the shutter speed setting going a bit up and down but no change at all. When i switch the lens to AF(Auto Focus) and use the programme mode the subject and the photos were ok. Any suggestions of why this was happening? |

If the camera is in manual focus, you need to adjust the focus manually. If you dont, images will be out of focus and will be blurry.

Manual Focus switch on the lens disengages the AF gear from the focusing barrel (ring) so you can use your hands (fingers) to focus MANUALLY and use the viewfinder yourself to focus on the subject. The camera cannot and will not focus for you when in this setting, but it will try to find the right exposure if the Mode dial is set in any of the program modes. Manual Mode on the dial is when you set the exposure yourself using the aperture, shutter speed, and the ISO settings. Cheers! ![]() ![]()
