Default Canon 50mm F 1.8 MarkII ?

I'm new here so hopefully this is in the right place. Do any of you have one of these and if so how do you like it ? I am looking at getting one and wondered what your experiences were. I have heard mixed reviews.

My current camera body is the Canon EOS XTi.

Thanks

Welcome DBlightsey,

The lens is great. Fantastic for portraits and low light. Others will tell you to spend 3 times the money to buy a 1.4, but you will be delighted with this lens.

Cheers,

One of Canon's best made cameras is the EOS MKII's. As you can see below I've got four of them. Great sports camera......best tracking system for shooting sports.

Go for it 100%. You won't ever regret it. Especially at that price point.
