Default canon powershot enquiry

Really useful and great website with loads of information. Have a Canon 420, 4 megapixels digital camera, 2 things when i bought this it had no instructions in english, anyone else had this problem. Have had really great use out of the camera for over 3 years, taken loads of great pictures, was wondering does anyone know was tweking around recently with the various functions on the camera and took some pics as normal, but started coming out all bright so could hardly see the photos. i think it was something to do with one of the other functions, its not the brightness one because ive tried that function...any ideas, thanks! ps its like having my arm cut off not being able to use the camera!

You can always download a PDF of the camera manual from the Canon website.

You may have popped the ISO / Sensitivity up to 400 (I think that was the max on the 420) - That should be down around 100 for normal sunny daylight shooting. Have a look in the manual and check your ISO / Sensitivity is at 100.
