Smile Canon EOS1000D

hye hye hye. i'm new here and i need opinions and suggestions from all.

i'm thinking about buying Canon EOS1000D as i read somewhere that the Canon EOS1000D is fit for beginners like me. but a friend told me that Nikon is a lot much easier to use and slightly cheaper than Canon which is quite true.

so can you suggest me any DSLR from Nikon that has the same quality as Canon EOS1000D?

thanx

the nikons equivalent to eos 1000D are nikon D60 and D3000,

not shure if they are easier to use, but they have an info button that explain what is the use for each option you chose

The Nikon control interface is very different from Canon's: some people love it, some hate it. I personally cannot get my head around the Canon interface. The entry-level models, however, are very similar in terms of controls: it isnt until you get into the D90+ territory that things get considerably different.

I'd suggest going out and finding a camera store where you can test both and see which you prefer. Bring along your own SD card and test each camera, then bring the images home and check them.

I love mine ! Very easy to use and navigate for a beginner , but as said the best thing is to try both and get a feel for what you ultimately like best
