[QUOTE=Saralonde;730885]I have heard about low light focusing issues also but I haven't had a lot of problem with mine, though that may be a matter of how or when I shoot. If I know I'm going into a low light situation, I often pull out a prime, usually my 50mm f/1.4. I've used the Tamron for portraits and it does a good job. As for weddings, that was the reason I bought the 17-55. I wanted a little wider end and the IS to give me a little extra help.

awesome thanks !

interesting i found that same thing today but tried not to get sucked in.....figured it probably falls under the "if it seems too good to be true it probably is" category with it being one of the ONLY places selling it for $300-400 less than everywhere else
unless anyone has any experience with this site maybe to give us hope otherwise??
thanks for the heads up! what part of WI are you from? i'm meeting so many other fello wisconsonites lately on here!

hmmm thank you for that!
i'm staying clear of this place as best i can! although it seems to have some good reviews a few in particular sounded too sketchy.... one in particular from Duanechampagne
on 11/2 sounds EXACTLY like an experience i had when i was researching a hard drive camcorder a couple years ago (cant remember what site it was exatly). but basically was told at the end of the order proccess that theres NO cannon warranty w/ the order and the battery that comes with it is NOT the same one you'd get from ordering somewhere else but rather a "limited" 30 min one and you'd have to buy an overpriced real one from them. Also almost word for word how when the person said they'd like to cancel their order they got hung up on.
even if the price IS that appealing, that kind of experience will not get my business!
thanks for all the help again!

From what I've seen the 7D actualy has SLIGHTLY worse high ISO noise then the 50D, but in the higher resolution images make the noise artifacts less apparent at normal print sizes (8X10). However if you start cropping your images they'll be easier to see since you're in effect making them larger. The other downside of the resolution is that if you're planning on printing near the sizes that the images can be printed at you'd need the higher end glass for it.
I'm not sure what the size of the file is from an 18mp camera, but I'm guessing that you'd have to start getting udma cards in order to take advatage of the 8fps of the 7D.
All that said, if you can afford it, get it. It has a better autofocus system and better metering system. Those two things alone would be a seller for me.
