I have the Canon 50D and yesterday and today when I was shooting. I have my mode on AV. After I take the picture it studders before processing the photo. It clicks and holds...what is causing this? Not enough light??

Are you shooting in low light conditions? It seems like the camera has chosen a slow shutter speed based on your chosen aperture. Slow shutter speeds are more discernible, it will seem like the camera itself is locking up.

If you're in Av mode, what is your aperture setting? What light conditions are you in?

Try looking in the viewfinder and find the aperture, and also the shutter speed. If it's a long shutter speed, then probably your aperture is too small.

but that has never happend to me before.
