Hello.
I've been thinking on buying a DSLR for some time now and I've reached another doubt concerning lenses. Which lenses do you consider better. I've hear that a longer zoom lenses have less quality in to them. Is this true? I can buy a Nikon D90 with 18 - 105 mm lenses for the same money that I can buy a Canon 500D with 18 - 200 mm lenses. Wich is the best buy? Thanks for all the help. Last edited by fernando.a.b.lemos; 10-11-2009 at 10:15 PM. |

Unless you never plan to buy another lens then it is wiser to consider which camera and lenses are better for you. In other words, which system is better. I shoot with both Canon and Nikon and prefer Nikon camera and Canon Lenses selection.
The 18-200 is a good walkabout/vacation lens while the 18-105 is just a standard kit lens for the D90. |

Thanks for the advice! I've held both cameras and studied their specs and I think the Nikon D90 is a better camera, but it is also mor expensive. Since I have a limited budget, I must consider buying a inferior camera with a more versatile lens. Still, it's a hard decision.
By the way, why are you disappointed with your Canon? Which model is it? Thanks again. Edit/Delete Message |
