Any Canon lens with a name that start with "EF" or "EF-S" can be used on your camera. Also, any new Tamron, Sigma, or Tokina lens that's for Canon (EOS) mount can be physically mounted on the camera can be used. Older used Tamron, Sigma, or Tokina lenses in the Canon mount are likely to work, but may need to be rechipped if they come from the pre-digital era, so check with any seller as to whether the lens functions fully on a digital body.
You can also adapt a whole raft of old manual focus lenses with adapter rings, but that's opening a can of worms, and very few people bother to do it. All you really need to know is that you cannot use any Canon lenses where the names start with "FD" or "FL".
