Exclamation Camera Problem - Seen this??

I have a Canon 60D. I tried to upload my photos on to my computer yesterday and my camera shut off as though the battery was dead. Thinking it was dead I charged it. Well, today I went to use the camera. I turned it on and the top of the camera said it was on but there was no displays showing in my view finder. Nor would it auto focus. So I shut the camera off. Waited a couple minutes and turned it back on but it wouldnt come on. It flashed the blank battery on the display but wouldnt come on. I took the batter OUT and it was still a flashing battery on the display! I took it to a camera shop and had them clean the battery and the contacts. It seemed to work at the time but is now doing it again. Sometimes it works, sometimes it wont.

Has anyone had this issue?? Any suggestion what it could be??

Thanks!

Sounds like a faulty connection in there somewhere...times to send it in for proper repairs I think. I assume it is still under warranty?

Default Dodgy battery?

Might be a bit let but I've just come across this thread...I hope it finds you in time. My friends Canon did this to me one day when I had borrowed it. She had two batteries, so presuming it was a dead battery I swapped it. The next day after re-charging I put the first battery back in and got the "dead" look again. Discovered it was a dodgy battery. Could this be the issue for you? Do you have another battery, or a friend whose battery you can try before sending your camera off for a quote for repair?
