My sensor is getting dirty on my camera so I will be taking it in to be cleaned. I got it second hand and this will be my 2nd year of having it. Is there any other maintenance that needs to be done on a regular basis? How about lenses, will they need to be taken apart and cleaned? For lenses, I keep the front and rear elements clean but that's it. Any other piece of equipment that has to have extra care?

The only maintenance you should have to do is basic exterior cleaning: Lenses have their front and rear elements carefully cleaned with the proper equipment, the contacts at the back of the lens cleaned, and the lens barrel gets a wipe down every now and then. Bodies have their exteriors wiped down and dust removed (I use a toothbrush) and contacts cleaned. You'll likely have to do some dust removal at some point on the sensor, but that's easy stuff with a blower and should be done only as necessary.
