    Post Maximum shutter counts

    Hi,

Does anybody know the maximum shutter count for 600D/T3i or the 550D/T2i?

    Thanks!

You can google it and get your results, but standard opinion is roughly 100,000.

... and by roughly, veritas means that there's no warranty of that. It's "expected" that you'd get around 100,000 actuations out of a shutter, so if you brought one in that went bad after 60,000 or so, you could expect the technician to say something like, "Well, that's unusual," and then charge you for a new one because the old one isn't warranted at all.

Just a clarification, as there's really no such thing as "maximum" in this case.

+1. Those are just rough estimates. Some cameras may go sooner, some longer.
