Hey everyone!
I was just wondering if anyone can give me some tips/advice for shooting when looking through the eye piece vs. the LCD screen. I know when in live view you can move the box where the center of the focus is, but how do I do that when using the eye piece shooting in AV. I have a canon t2i. I did some pictures this weekend and some are miss focused but I didn't want to shoot in live view. Thanks! |

When focusing through the viewfinder, your autofocus is determined by the 9 autofocus points, which are the individual dots you see through the viewfinder. One in the center, and the eight surround it in the diamond pattern. By default the camera will tend to select the autofocus point according to whatever is closest, which can be one or multiple AF points. You can also manually select which AF point you want the camera to use. See: Focusing Quick Tip: Single Point AF Methods
