Default Canon 1100D / Rebel T3 FULL user's manual?

My camera came with a basic manual and has a FULL version on the CD which I have printed off to read, however I want to keep it with me so that I can refer to it at any time. The problem is that it cosists of 300 ish loose sheets so will get tatty very quickly and I'm sure that pages will get lost in time. Does anyone know if the FULL manual exists in a book format? If so where would I get one from? I know there's a dummies guide to the 1100D / Rebel T3 which I could keep with (although not in) my bag. Would anyone here who has it be able to rate it for me? Is it as good as the manual / better / totally different so its incomparable???

Thanks in advance

Often books like that are better than the manufacturer's manual. They will go into more "understandable" detail than what the manual does. Probably a wise investment for you. There's nothing more frustrating than reading the manufacturer's more technical manual and saying WTF does that mean?

Thanks for that advice. Think I'll pop to the library tomorrow and then go book shopping

Do you have an iPhone? If so load the manual on your phone, I did and it is always with me.

No I don't but thanks for the idea. I do have a smart phone and there may just be an app in the app store. I'll go look.

I orderd David Busch's Canon EOS Rebel T3/1100D Guide to Digital SLR Photography and David Busch's Compact Field Guide for the Canon EOS Rebel T3/1100D from Amazon. Both books got great reviews and the field guide is made to carry with you. Those may help you.

Any smart phone should be able to read a PDF document. Create a PDF using a free converter (eg cutePDF) if it is not already in that format, then dump it onto the phone (or email it to yourself). With iphone just dump it into ibooks.

I have now bought David Busch's Digiotal Field Guide for the Canon EOS Rebel T3/1100D but will also get it on my phone as well I think. It is actually cheaper as a book on my phone which surprised me but this way I can have a keep at home copy AND a phone version for when I'm out and about and need to refer to a particular section. I have also bought Digital SLR Cameras & Photography for Dummies and may well get the phone version for that too. Extravagant I know but both books are a little too hefty to lug around with me everywhere I go however I also don't want to have to read the entirity of these books on my phone when at home. Thanks for everyone's advice

I have the field guide and it is made to bring with you. The full version is not, but the full version is awsome! I have both and love them.
