Probably most of the images you looked at were taken with my 50mm 1.8. I just got this lens and the only images I took with it (besides of my family) are the ones of my musician friend.(he's REALLY good.....ernie tersigni - Home)

But I think you are right as I replied in another post I have been defaulting on that because my other skills are developing.

I am only talking about the musian images. They are sort of soft where they shouldn't be because of the thin DOF.
