finally time to upgrade? Canon xsi

Hi everyone!

I've been using a Nikon Coolpix P100 for about a year now. I've been wanting to upgrade but being a university student, just can't afford it. My mom's friend has upgraded and is selling her Canon Rebel xsi. It inclues an 18-55mm lens, a 55-250 mm, and a 50mm f1.8. Originally she said all of that plus 2 batteries and memory cards for $500.
My mom emailed her saying I'm interested and the lady emailed back asking if I want the camera bag, memory cards, batteries, remote control, and battery charger for an extra $100.

I'm going to go look at the camera and confirm how much she wants for what products. But what do you guys think? Good deal? I feel like this will be a good camera for my first DSLR. Thanks!

I think it's a great camera to start with. I use one of those for my job, newspaper photographer, and it takes some great pics.
