Default Help Me Decide

I am purchasing a new camera for my wife that is simple to use, yet takes good photographs. I have researched the Canon S95, Elph300HS, and the Nikon P300. It appears that each one has some great features and smaller number of features that aren't so great. Without having the camera in hand to compare, it is a difficult decision. I am leaning toward the 300HS. While money isn't a factor, I don't require a superior camera as I have a Canon 40D for most of my photographs. If anyone has had experience with the above cameras, I would appreciate your unbiased input.

IMHO the s95 is the better camera. (going from memory here) Largest sensor, f/2 lens, hybrid IS, 28mm or 26mm (don't remember) wide lens.

Although if I remember the p300 has a 24mm lens and a (smaller) CMOS sensor. I think its also f/2.

Now that I think about it. I think one of them has a f/1.8 lens.

EDIT: The Nikon has a f/1.8 lens. note that its not fixed, IE when you zoom it will get smaller(like f/3,6)

EDIT2: Here is a review of the p300: Nikon P300 Hands-on Review (feat. Canon S95) - YouTube
and the s95: Canon S95 Hands-on Review (filmed with a Canon S95) - YouTube You gota love these guys.

I have the S95 as my P&S and it is a great camera with good features and a good balance. Very good low light performance and shoots in raw. Just my$.02.

Thanks to all for the input. I purchased the Sony DSC-HX9V from Amazon.com. The camera received good reviews from multiple sources. Although I didn't need the GPS or 3D feature, my wife wanted the megazoom aspect. Very difficult decision.
